I’m a lawyer, but I don’t practice law. Or, I do, but not in the way you probably imagine. I don’t do “TV law” or “John Grisham law.”

I love cheese and music and babies (the ones in my family, in particular, but any baby will do in a pinch). I don’t eat cooked carrots, only raw ones; I won’t eat raw broccoli, but I love it cooked; I like spinach any way I can get it; cauliflower of any kind need not apply. My favorite ice cream is Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food, but I’ll settle for their frozen yogurt in the same flavor.

I’m trying to learn more about wine, but I feel hopelessly out of my league whenever I set foot in the wine store; beer is just easier. Speaking of beer, why can’t you find Red Dog in a bottle anymore? Just another of life’s little disappointments, I guess.

My favorite place in the world is the top of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona.

I’m generally an optimistic person, but I definitely complain more than I should. I believe in ninth-inning rallies and walk-off homers. I’m a terrible liar and not very good at telling jokes, either. I can’t sleep unless my feet are covered by the blanket.

I think dolphins are nearly perfect creatures.
